Chinook's IFAK is based on the specification developed by the U.S. Military for improving the survivability of the two leading causes of battlefield death: severe hemorrhage and inadequate airway. When soldiers or other emergency responders carry these kits, they can improve the survivability of themselves and others. The kit comes in a rugged, durable nylon cordura fabric pouch that is MOLLE compatible with PALS webbing systems. See our MOLLE Chest Harness.

*MOLLE: (pronounced like the name "Molly") is an acronym for MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment which was developed as a flexible light-weight equipment system for the U.S. Military. It uses a PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) platform for attaching whatever Molle-style accessory you want. The accessories attach to the PALS with webbed straps over a grid of webbing and velcro, allowing you to position the accessories however you want them.
